Pricing & fees
No surprises. A small service fee for renters, a flat commission for owners, a deposit that always comes back, and zero card fees. Here's every line, in plain terms.
What MGR charges
Renter service fee
~9%A small percentage of the rental subtotal, added at checkout. It keeps the platform running, the slip team verifying payments, and support answering.
Owner commission
2%A flat cut of the rental amount only, deducted from the owner's payout. Never applied to the deposit or delivery fee.
Delivery fee
Set by ownerOnly if you choose delivery on an item that offers it. The owner sets the amount and it's shown clearly before you pay. Pickup is always free.

Card processing fees
You pay by bank transfer, so there are no card surcharges on top of your booking — ever.

Listing fee for owners
Listing gear costs nothing. Owners only pay the 2% commission when a rental actually completes.
- Refundable
The security deposit
The deposit isn't a fee. It's held, then released back in full within 48 hours of a clean return.
A worked example
A 3-day sea kayak rental, delivered — what each side pays and receives
What the renter pays
The $65 deposit is included in the transfer but isn't a cost — it comes back in full after a clean return. The renter's real spend is $84.
What the owner receives
Commission is charged on the rental only — never on the deposit. The owner handles the deposit through MGR and it's released back to the renter, so it never appears in the payout.
A note on currency
Every price on MGR is set in Maldivian rufiyaa (MVR), the base currency. The rufiyaa is pegged at roughly 15.42 to the US dollar, so visitors can flip the whole site to USD with the currency toggle to see an approximate figure. You always transfer in MVR (or to the USD account where one is offered), and there are no card or conversion fees added by MGR.
