Public ferry from Malé (about 1.5 hours, cheap) or a 30-minute speedboat. The busiest local island, so transfers run often.
Best spots

When to go
Dec–Apr for the clearest water; manta and whale-shark excursions run out of the wider South Malé and Ari atolls.
