Getting there
Malé is the national hub: a 10-minute ferry or causeway hop from Velana International. Most onward speedboats and public ferries leave from here.
Best spots
The artificial beach, Rasfannu sunset spot and the fish market are all walkable. Collect gear here before island-hopping out to the atolls.
When to go
Year-round. The dry north-east monsoon (Dec–Apr) brings the calmest seas and clearest water for any water sport.
